Course Details:

BSc Nursing is a four-year undergraduate degree program focused on providing students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and practical experience to become professional nurses. The course is designed to prepare students for the healthcare sector, where they play a critical role in patient care, medical procedures, and overall healthcare management. Nurses trained through this program are equipped to work in hospitals, clinics, public health organizations, community centers, and other healthcare settings.

The concept of nursing education in India dates back to the early 20th century. Nursing as a profession started to gain importance with the establishment of nursing schools in British colonial India.

The first professional nursing school in India was set up in 1871 in Calcutta (now Kolkata), at the Calcutta School of Nursing.
